The Perrett Farm is a family run dairy farm located in Kongwak, Victoria. Every day they milk during the early morning and late afternoon. They were looking for opportunities to reduce their energy bills in an environmentally responsible way. The Solar PPA model was particularly attractive to them because it made the access to clean energy with no upfront investment possible.

Our Solar Power Purchase Agreement (Solar PPA) designed for the Perrett family takes into account the dairy energy consumption profile. We analysed their retailer bills and proposed a 20kW system based on their 2-phase power connection.

The energy consumed by this system is sold to them at a rate as much as 45% below their retailer peak rate and 2% lower than their off-peak rate. This enables them to shift their water heating load to sunshine hours and reduce their bill even further. They have signed up for low-cost, reliable, renewable energy for 20 years with no upfront costs. Our agreement also includes maintenance and any possible repairs.
