Renew is an Australian residential, government, and industry sustainability consultant which offers a range of resources to those seeking to reduce their carbon footprint.

Renew's mission is to inspire, enable, and advocate for people to live sustainably in their homes and communities. They strive towards this by participating in social and environmental policy advocacy, and conducting energy, water, and transportation research on behalf of market consumers.

In addition to working towards establishing greater access and policy for sustainable practices within Australia, Renew also collaborates with communities overseas. One of their projects is located in Timor-Leste, where they strive to provide locals with access to clean, renewable lighting and electricity.

So far over 2,000 homes and 1,000 community centres, orphanages, schools, and hospitals in remote rural villages have been provided with solar energy, and 180 local technicians have been trained to empower independence across these communities. This has not only reduced the villages' carbon emissions, but has improved the local economies.

Energy Terrain has partnered with Sassafras Group to work with Renew in their Timor-Leste Plastic Plant Project. At present, the plant's operation is constrained to the availability of electricity from the local grid, which is only accessible during night hours.

The team will be conducting a detailed solar system analysis to enable the plant to operate at full capacity during daylight hours powered with clean energy. The plant's energy needs and budgetary constraints will be considered. Our engineers are partaking in the planning and optimisation of the plant's solar system in order to allow the locals to recycle their plastic waste.
